HEY

In September 2007, Hey recorded an MTV Unplugged concert at the Warsaw Roma music theatre. New arrangements, special guests and expanded instrumental line-up made familiar songs sound surprisingly fresh and utterly electrifying. Released on CD and DVD, the concert became one of the bestsellers of 2007. Soon after, the band went on another anniversary tour “92-07” to celebrate their 15 years onstage. In Autumn 2008, the band was back on tour with “Hey MTV Unplugged” series of concerts in Poland, additionally playing at the Scala Club in London.  The beginning of 2009 was marked by work on a new record. Instrumental parts for the album were recorded in a Western town in Sarnowa Góra, and vocals at the Fonoplastykon studio in Wrocław. The album entitled “Miłość! Uwaga! Ratunku! Pomocy!” was released in October 2009, and soon reached platinum for selling of over 60 thousand copies. As usual, the band went on a promotional tour after the premiere. In May 2010, Hey released „RE-MURPED!“, featuring remixed versions of the songs from "Miłość! Uwaga! Ratunku! Pomocy!". The tracks were remixed by Andrzej Smolik, Rawski, Plastic, and Bueno Bros, among others. In the same year, the band played a concert for an audience of 20 people within the project „Najmniejszy Koncert Świata“. The concert, recorded at the Alvernia Studios near Cracow, was released on DVD in December.  Also in December, Hey gave several unique concerts constituting a mini-tour „Re-edycje“. The tour was inspired by re-editions of Hey’s first albums, re-released on the market after more than a decade from their premieres. The concerts presented songs mainly of the albums „Fire“, „Ho!“, „?“ and „Karma“. Additionally, the Bueno Bros duet (the authors of several remixes from „RE-MURPED“) joined the band as a special guest on the tour. Audiences‘ response to the concerts was so enthusiastic and encouraging that the band decided to expand the tour to several other cities. Throughout its existence, Hey has been highly appreciated both by the fans and the critics. Of all the awards won by the band, the musicians value most the one received at the Przystanek Woodstock for the best concert of the 2004 edition of the festival, since it was the audience themselves that made the choice. It is also worth mentioning that Katarzyna together with Hey and as a solo artist has received the largest number of nominations (75) and awards (30) of the Polish Music Industry Awards “Fryderyk”. Spring and summer 2012, the band spent working on material for a new studio album. Album " Do Rycerzy, Do Szlachty, Do Mieszczan”, (The Knights, the Nobility, doo Townspeople) appeared on the market in November 6, 2012, the first single from this release is the title song.
